LeEco Debuts “LeLe” Voice Assistant with its Le Pro3 Dual Camera AI Edition Smartphone

LeEco has been teasing about its new smartphone launch from the last few weeks. While we all expected to see the Le Max3 as the successor to Le Max2, today, the company unveiled the all-new Le Pro3 Dual Camera AI edition. Last year, the company launched the Le Pro3 with single rear camera in the U.S. Now, the Le Pro3 Dual Camera AI edition is the company's first smartphone to feature dual camera setup. This is also first major launch event after the company's financial problems are revealed publicly. Just yesterday, the company has canceled the $2 billion worth deal to purchase the U.S TV brand, Vizio.

Talking about the device, it comes with high-end specifications and is priced very aggressively at just 1799 Yuan (approx $260 / Rs. 16,800) for the Helio X23 powered variant and 2399 Yuan (approx $350 / Rs. 22,400) for the Helio X27 powered variant.Apart from the change in processor and onboard storage, there are no other differences between both these devices. It comes with a unibody metal design with curved antenna bands. As seen with the earlier launched LeEco smartphones, the company still offers that camera bump on the rear.

The new Le Pro 3 sports 5.5-inch In-cell display on the front with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. There is also a 2.5D curved glass laid on top. The base variant comes with MediaTek Helio X23 deca-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, whereas the high-end variant comes with 2.6GHz Helio X27 deca-core processor. Both the variants come with 4GB of RAM, but the Helio X23 variant comes with 32GB of onboard storage, whereas the Helio X27 variant sports 64GB of internal storage. It still runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the customized EUI 5.9 laid on top.

Coming to the USP of the device, there is a 13MP monochrome sensor and a 13MP RGB sensor on the rear with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and 6P lens. It comes LE IMAGE AI engine to look after image processing for better output. For selfies, there is also an 8MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture and 76.5-degree wide-angle lens. It measures 152.4 x 75.1 x 7.5 mm and weighs 168 grams. The device will be available in Gold, Champagne Gold, and Black color options. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers TDD and FDD-LTE support.

Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi Direct, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, and a USB Type-C port. On the rear, there is also a fingerprint sensor placed just below the dual rear cameras. The device lacks the 3.5mm Audio port and comes with CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio) support for connecting the earphones to the Type-C port. It is backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery that can easily give a day-long battery life. The company is also offering nine stickers for the rear camera module for free within the package.

It is now available to pre-order, and the sales start from April 14th. There is no information about the launch of the Le Pro3 Dual Camera AI edition in the other markets like the U.S and India. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
