Huawei to showcase a new dual-camera phone on December 23

Huawei is apparently looking to release more dual-camera phones in the Indian smartphone market. We have already seen a couple of dual-camera phones in India, and with Huawei being at the forefront of the technology thanks to its partnership with Leica, we can expect great things from these upcoming phones.

The Chinese manufacturer is hosting an event tomorrow in the country. While the agenda hasn't been revealed yet, the arrival of these dual-camera mid-rangers is being speculated by the industry. The phone will break cover under the company's Honor brand.

After its announcement in India, the phone will also be announced at the CES event early next month, apparently. While dual-camera phones are not new to India, the fact that this will be a mid-ranged device has built up some excitement. As of now, all the dual-camera handsets that are sold in India come with a premium price tag. So by launching a mid-ranger with these features on board, Huawei can tap into a whole new world of customers.

Naturally, there's no word on what else this mystery handset will feature on board, but since we're only a day away from the event, we expect all the secrets to be revealed fairly soon.
