Yesterday, Tim Cook took to Twitter to plug some images taken by the iPhone 7 Plus that were published in Sports Illustrated and ESPN. Today, Philip Schiller is doing the same. The SVP of Marketing at Apple has linked to some photos taken by photographer Jakob Schiller for Outside Magazine.
The photographer calls the iPhone 7 Plus as this year's "best new adventure camera" after testing it over four days. Schiller says that the portable size, versatility and improved camera performance make the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus a perfect alternative to lugging expensive camera equipment for adventure photography. The IP67 certification also means that you can get down and dirty to get the perfect shot without worrying about water damaging the phone or dust ingress.
Schiller also praised the battery life of the iPhone 7 Plus and said that on a particularly heavy day that lasted from 5 am. to 5 p.m. and involved him taking hundred of photos, the phone still had 25 percent of charge left.
Before you judge the above photos, remember that they were taken by a professional photographer who knows how to get the most out of any camera — be it a smartphone or a DLSR. So don't measure the iPhone 7's camera performance based on the above camera samples alone.
