According to reports, it seems that the HTC 10 in Europe is getting a software update that bumps its software version up to 1.30.401.1.

In April, DxoMark gave the HTC 10's UltraPixel 2.0 rear-facing lens an 88 out of 100 for photos and 86 out of 100 for videos. It also recommended slightly increasing image saturation and vibrance to compensate for any under-saturated color tones.

More specifically, images taken in low-light settings are now shaper and brighter, and we think this could be due to a few key criticisms from early hands-on reviewers.

Although the HTC 10 is barely starting to reach its new owners, HTC is already pushing out a system update to improve the smartphone's capabilities. Sometimes focus just won't lock and you get a fuzzy result (and I'm getting spammed with "laser autofocus is blocked" messages, which apparently is a bug that'll be addressed soon), sometimes the sensor gets overwhelmed with light and blows out the highlights, and sometimes photos come out perfectly well with no issues. As Slashgear noted, this was an issue with initial camera software and has now been addressed by the company's first major update. Some reviewers had pointed out that when using Pro mode in the HTC 10 camera, their photos would show up with purplish noise that made their shots quite unaesthetic.

The HTC 10 will be available in the United Kingdom on Friday, May 6th and should become available in the US next week on Sprint (May 13th), T-Mobile and AT&T. Cellular connectivity should then be better in areas where the signal is generally weak.
