Is that a time traveller using a camera phone in 1995?

In the footage from 1995, a person in the audience watching Mike Tyson's fight can be seen using what looks like a smartphone.

"So if you're the person with the smartphone in this video, do us a favor and go into the future next time", DeFilippo wrote.

The gadget in the photo doesn't match it exactly but it's very close so it's not necessarily this camcorder but it's more than likely another type of camcorder which was available at the time rather than a time traveller.

Footage has resurfaced from a 1995 Mike Tyson fight that seemingly shows a fan filming the bout on a smartphone - five years before the first camera phone was released.

"What we have here is a time traveler coming back to watch their favorite fighter and sitting in the front row seats", conspiracy theorist and UFO spotter (really) Scott C Waring explains in the above video, which calls out the alleged time traveler.

The video then shows a montage of digital cameras that were on the market in 1995, none of which look anything like the one being used by the futuristic spectator.

At the time, it was the highest grossing fight ever.

The white coloured camera has the distinctive slim line design of a smartphone, with the camera lens in the top left corner - another innovation associated with modern day recording equipment. "'I think this could be a possible explanation and if so this is not a time traveler but this is just someone with a relatively new camera". But there are still plenty of conspiracy theorists who want to believe time travel is real.
