While the former has been around for over a month now, the latter was just announced recently and sales are yet to commence. The rear camera is now 12 megapixels, the same as the latest iPhones and Samsung Galaxy phones. Presumably these manufacturers will look at the S7's success and turn out a new crop of devices that match it or make tiny, incremental improvements. And would you have expected to root for an HTC flagship again before the HTC 10's unveiling?

This advantages summary takes in the designs, features, and specs of both handsets. The company has put a front-facing tweeter and a bottom-facing woofer on the phone to give the sound a greater depth.

The phone comes with a fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C port for charging and data syncing purposes. However, the video that we've embedded below this article shows an HTC 10 vs Samsung Galaxy S7 initial outline that concentrates on the benefits of each when compared with the other. HTC has streamlined the apps on its store. It uses a Super LCD 5 screen protected by Gorilla Glass.

Following the recent trend among high-end smartphones in the market today, HTC 10 is appropriately armed with a 12MP camera featuring a larger 1.55 micron pixels coupled with a wide-aperture f/1.8 lens thereby giving the handset's sensor an enhanced light-gathering capability which minimizes ugly image grain as reported by Android Authority.

On paper, the phone matches its competitors on most specifications: a quad-HD screen, the latest Qualcomm chip, 4GB of memory, and expandable storage.

Cellphones aren't typically known for incredible audio, but the HTC 10 might change that.

It will be available in black and silver in the USA, while global markets will see a gold option and Japan will get a special red colour. At this time we do not know what the price difference between the HTC 10 and HTC 10 Lifestyle will be.

Other highlights include an updated camera and high-res audio thanks to HTC's patented BoomSound technology.

HTC made waves with its ultrapixels camera. The camera app comes with manual settings which will be more than useful for photography enthusiasts, and though the front shooter has a resolution of 5 MP, it is equipped with a large 1/8 aperture along with hybrid and laser autofocus to faster focusing. In addition to running Android 6 Marshmallow with HTC Sense, the company said the smartphone's apps will launch twice as fast as its previous models. However, each device has its own customized skin that runs on top of the stock Android OS. HTC flip-flopped hopelessly on simple decisions, making people wonder what version of the phone it would launch in India, and even a statement that was supposedly meant to clear things up, only muddled things further. According to CNET, the handset will be available in nearly all wireless service providers in the United States.
