IPhone 7 Could Sport A Flat Camera, Stereo Speakers, Thinner Design

It might also have a thinner Lightning port - not a different design, mind you, only a smaller cutout in the case.

The iPhone 7 is expected to sport the same height and width as the iPhone 6s, but it will be 1 mm thinner, according to the most recent rumor.

Corroborating several previous reports that tipped Apple would be ditching the 3.5mm audio jack to make its next iPhone slimmer, a new report tips the iPhone 7 will be up to 1mm slimmer than its predecessor - but will retain the same design.

Looking ahead to the next full refresh with the iPhone 7, Kuo expects the usual third-quarter launch in 2016 with an unsurprising upgrade to a new A10 chip to offer increased performance. On the other hand, it is being speculated that this feature will not be in iPhone 7 Plus, but in iPhone Pro. In addition to the flush camera, the iPhone 7 is also rumored to feature stereo speakers.

The headphone jack will be replaced by an external speaker which means the topside of the iPhone 7 will house two sets of speakers.

One of the major rumors about iPhone 7 Plus was that it will have dual camera lenses to differentiate iPhone 7 Plus from iPhone 7.

The Japanese blog has been reliable in the past, but like all Apple rumors, we recommend taking this one with a pinch of salt until the iPhone 7 gets its official unveiling this fall. Apple is expected to announce both the iPhone SE, next-generation 9.7-inch iPad and new Apple Watch bands later this month.
